little story

Gobri

Ludányi Gábor

I am Gábor Ludányi, winemaker and owner of Gobri Cellar. I was born in 1985 and practically grew up in the vineyards - I was out in the vineyards from the age of 3, so the world of grapes and wine is not just a profession for me, but a way of life.I started my career in 2010 at Varsányi Winery, and from 2011 I worked as a winemaker with Mátyás Szőke for almost a decade, while at the same time I started my own path. The name Gobri is my childhood nickname, which eventually became the name of my winery. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

I believe that every wine has a soul - a unique personality that I don't “make”, but rather accompany and guide. In the cellar, you must always be present with a clear head and a clear soul, because the wine understands who you are with. This kind of connection and harmony is for me the essence of winemaking.Especially important for me is the SKR series, which I created in memory of my grandfather “Sikari”. He passed away on Christmas of the first vintage - and I feel that with this wine he has stayed with us in a new form. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
